Frequently Asked Questions
Does the warranty cover water damage?
No. Water damage from flooding, plumbing leaks, or excessive moisture is not covered under our installation warranty. However, both Parkay Floors and Maxxi Floors offer lifetime waterproof warranties on their flooring materials, protecting against normal water exposure and everyday household spills.
What happens if my flooring shows wear?
Our installation warranty covers 1 year from the installation date against workmanship defects. Additionally, your flooring materials are backed by the manufacturer's wear warranty - 25 years for Parkay Floors residential installations and Lifetime for Maxxi Floors residential installations.
Is the manufacturer warranty the same as the installation warranty?
No. The installation warranty covers our workmanship and how the floor was installed. The manufacturer warranty covers defects in the flooring product itself, including wear-through, staining, and manufacturing defects. Both work together to protect your investment.
Do you provide warranty documentation?
Yes. When we install your flooring, we provide a copy of your installation warranty details. We also include the manufacturer's warranty information for the specific flooring brand and product you've selected.
How do I make a warranty claim?
If you believe you have an issue covered by warranty, contact us immediately at (772) 444-3325. Our team will schedule an inspection and guide you through the claim process. For manufacturer warranties, claims must typically be reported within 15-30 days of discovering the defect.
What's not covered under these warranties?
Generally not covered: damage from improper cleaning or maintenance, excessive moisture or flooding, pet damage and scratches, heavy furniture gouges without protective pads, damage from high heels or rolling carts, natural disasters, gloss reduction (which is normal wear), and damage from temperatures outside the recommended range.
